However creating Spot UV based artwork can be a complicated process. When you begin the process of setting out your art work, you must produce two files of identical dimensions. One of these files will be used for the spot gloss layer while the other one will be used on the file for printing. Everything that you use within the spot gloss layer should be in 100% black. In addition to this it must be placed in a similar position as it would on the print file do not forget the crucial bleed of 2mm minimum. Crop marks should also be included.

Make it an adamant priority that the printer knows everything so they can go ahead with the job. Never forget your correct usage of colour, bleed or crop marks.
