Binding options

Saddle stitched (staple bound) — most popular

Saddle stitching is the most common booklet binding method. Printed sheets are folded and secured with two wire staples through the spine. It’s cost-effective, fast and works well for booklets up to around 64 pages. All our standard booklet printing uses saddle stitching as default.

Perfect bound

Perfect binding gives booklets a flat spine, like a paperback book. Pages are glued rather than stapled. This is ideal for thicker booklets (80+ pages) or anywhere you want a more premium, professional finish. Perfect bound booklets can also have the title printed on the spine.

How many pages can a booklet have?

Saddle stitched booklets must always be a multiple of 4 pages (because each sheet of paper provides 4 sides when folded). Common page counts are 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32 and upwards. If you’re unsure how to count your pages correctly, here’s how it works:

Our minimum order is just 10 booklets, making us ideal for short runs as well as large quantities.
